Maria Parrasson at her first show in April, 2019!

“Maria’s first competition…She’s a 52 year old mother of two…” Ok, let me just say right off the bat, ALL the hard work was worth it! Getting into bikini body competition shape was the toughest physical thing I’ve ever done besides 2 pregnancies, 2 c-sections & nursing. I absolutely LOVE my new body and plan to keep it! Last Fall at a @daveliberman NPC show, I decided it was my time to get the weight off. I entered the Spring Cleveland event and started reaching my goal. Long 22 weeks out of strict dieting & training, I lost 30 some lbs. I entered True Novice (up against ladies half my age) & Masters (40 & up). Big age difference but it didn’t discourage me. No, I did not place which is fine. I had the time of my life & truly fell in love with the bikini competition lifestyle. I’ll be back on stage soon.?? Thank you to my trainers Brian & Stacy Bonifay @barbellsgym @seamonkeycrossfit & my family for everything!” – Maria

CF-L1 Trainer and Barbells Owners daughter, Danara Lamonica at her first competition in October, 2018.

“With three days between me and stepping on stage for the VERY FIRST time in my life I feel like I should give everyone a little back story into my life…
Everyone that knows me personally knows that I have struggled with self imagine, food, and confidence my entire life. Now I am not writing this to get attention but because I have struggled the past week tremendously with my image and have stressed myself out to no end. I feel like I owe myself some credit for finally being able to be comfortable in my own skin for the first time in my 21 years of life, even though I am NO WHERE NEAR PERFECT or where I want to be. To be honest I never really thought I’d make it as far as I did.

The very first picture in heels was from about 4 weeks ago during posing practice.
The picture in the purple sports bra was this January of 2018. All of the other pictures were me from November-December of 2017.

As you can see, where I started, to 4 weeks ago. I have completely changed my body and attitude.

I will not post any recent pictures, I want to leave all that for Saturday.

But MOST IMPORTANTLY, I want to take the time to thank everyone that has supported me through all this. My parents for providing me with the best gym in Tuscarawas County, sponsoring me, and believing in me!
The Bonifay’s for making me who I am today, providing me with the best diet and training experience I could ever ask for.

But my number one @brob1971 . The one who has done everything for me, from making sure I have eaten my meals to putting up with my attitudes the past week. I love you to death Brandon and you will forever have my heart. You are the best boyfriend I could ever imagine having in my life.”-Danara

Amy Palmer- Amy Tope Palmer

The picture with the pink bikini was in November of 2016.

“I originally competed in bodybuilding from 2008-2013 and then decided to take a break. Over the next few years I managed to put on 40+ pounds even though I did an EXCESSIVE amount of cardio including running 8 full marathons (26.2 miles).”

“In all my years of competing I was NEVER able to achieve the results I did with Brian. He was very patient (and trust me, I tested his patience) and diligent to find a diet and cardio program that would work for ME. I can honestly say it was the easiest show prep I’ve ever done. I truly could not have done it without his guidance. I am now working with Brian on my off season plan as I am planning to hit the bodybuilding stage again in 2018.”

“He is simply the BEST and cares about his clients being successful whatever their goals may be!”

Jay Ford- Jay Ford

“When I first met Brian, I as 236 pounds and I thought I knew how to eat right. The very first question he asked was “Well, what did you have to eat today?” After I told him I had a protein bar and a salad, keep in mind it was already 6pm, he said “you’re starving yourself”. “This is how you eat, lose weight and gain muscle all at the same time.” Brian spent hours explaining how to eat, what to eat and when to eat it. At the time, I didn’t realize you HAVE TO EAT to lose weight.”

“Over the course of 7 months I lost almost 70 pounds and ate like a horse. Brian will pull no punches and just tell you the facts. I tell everyone the knowledge I’ve gained from Brian wasn’t just for a short term goal. He has totally changed the lifestyle of me and my family. If you are looking for real changes, changes that will last a lifetime, meet with Brian. He is a true pro at changing people’s lives.”

Jay and his son Logan Ford are currently working alongside Brian with plans of getting back on stage in 2018.
